Brayberry’s Harlequin Romance ‘Harley’

Harley is the first foal born at Brayberry by our newest jack Rome. Her sire, Spikehorn Ranch Romeo, is a two time GCDMA Supreme Champion Sire and the sire to our 2 time NMDA Year End High Point Jennet, Schmitt’s Chloe.   Her dam is our favorite jennet, Troytown’s Code of Conduct, who is herself an ACOSA Reserve National Champion.

We had tried for years to get Conny settled…both to Main Event and to Magic Time.  We tried one last time to breed her (before letting her go to a home that wanted a spotted donkey to show) and to our surprise she settled to Rome who had just joined us a month prior.  So, needless to say, we are thrilled with this foal and she will be spoiled rotten.

She is 1/2 sister to Schmitt’s Chloe, two time National High Point Champion and also 1/2 sister to many of the great halter and performance champions including Schmitt’s Zephyr (Champion Halter and Champion Performance Gelding), Schmitt’s Eva (Champion Halter Jennet) and Schmitt’s Echo. Harley is very special and has a bright future. She will be a little show girl for sure.

PEDIGREE: halter and performance champions and champion producers.  She is an LN Redsonnehi granddaughter, LN Nehemiah great grand daughter. Her pedigree on the top side goes back to the foundation donkeys and imports.  Fisher and Circle C on the bottom side going down to Valintino and Philamena lines as well as The Fireman.  Her grandsire is Big Woods Secret Code, son of Motown’s Secret.
