Brayberry’s Lily-of-the-Valley
The long wait is finally over…our first ivory jennet foal! We were so excited Blondie’s foal was a girl…as this is the last of Lightning’s foals (now gelded). And what a beauty Lily is. She is an extraordinary little thing with more spunk than you can shake a stick at. She loves life so much she just runs around kicking her heels up. I don’t think a happier donkey could be found.

Ryder’s costume for the 2011 River Valley Mule & Donkey Show at Ft. Smith, AR was to be a fireman. He, of course, needed a white donkey to be his dalmatian and Lily was enlisted. With little black dots painted all over the poor little thing, she was on her way to the show. We were actually offered big bucks for that very uniquely spotted black and white donkey! It was tempting to keep quiet but realized the spots would be gone in a day or two so had to confess. What could be cuter than a 4 year old child with a 6month old donkey foal? Take a look…
